Here I am in Beardstown, Illinois. This load is definitely the cherry on the top of a crap sundae of a week. I had to get the radiator replaced in the truck. I missed the first shop appointment because of my fleet manager making a mistake on what he thought was a simple drop and hook on a local run. I was worried about my brother, who was hospitalized for a few days. My fleet manager couldn't get my out of the load I was under and routed to Dallas to get to my brother. The load I was under was supposed to empty out early in the morning on Saturday but they couldn't get me empty until late Saturday and by that point there was no freight for the weekend in Chicago.  Now the place they dispatched me to on was supposed to be ready on Monday morning at 2 AM at the latest, now won't be ready until Tuesday at 10 AM. This not only screws up this weeks payroll but is now putting next weeks payroll in jeopardy too.
